Rental Info and Fees
The Music Room can be rented for a wide variety of purposes - rent our space for concerts, recording, recitals, plays, rehearsals, workshops, meetings & seminars. It provides a warm and intimate setting and houses a 9-foot, New York-built, Model D Steinway grand piano and digital recording capabilities.
Hall Rental: $60/hr or $250/day (day rate is limited to 8 hours)
House manager: $17/hr (min 3 hr charge)
Maintenance Fee: $10/event
A deposit of $125/day, along with a credit card number, is required to hold a booking. The credit card will be charged any remaining balance the following business day after your event. Please note that the deposit is only fully refundable if a cancelation occurs with at least 30 days notice prior to the date of your event.
Optional services and fees:
Sound system rental: $50 (The Music Room has a 12-channel Soundcraft EPM Mixer with 2 - Bose L1 speakers. Microphones & cables are the responsibility of the renter
Recording/Mixing engineer: $35/hr (min 4 hr charge for evenings and weekends)
Front of house engineer: $150-$200/day (limited to 8 hours)
Piano tuning: $120
If you wish to serve alcohol at your event, there are two options:
At no cost, Golden Service, mobile bar service, can provide a full bar with a team of professionally trained and experienced bartenders. Their team is committed to providing professional, knowledgeable and friendly event staff for every occasion. Their talented team can provide you with an array of drinks to help match the theme of your event. They are also a strong supporter of local and regional wineries and microbreweries.
You can apply for a "Special Occasion Class 3" license yourself ($65). Must be applied for by the renter at least 10 days in advance of the event through the NS Alcohol and Gaming Authority
