The Music Room offers one of the finest acoustic spaces in Canada. The Music Room accommodates an audience of 110, houses a 9-foot New York-built Steinway grand piano (Model D) and boasts 24-track digital recording for live or session recording.

The Music Room is a rental facility and can be rented for a variety or purposes: concerts, rehearsals, recordings, meetings, seminars & weddings.

Myles Goodwyn, Basia Bulat, Jason Collett (Broken Social Scene), K-OS, Marc-Andre Hamelin, Christopher Ward, Al Tuck, Michale Graves (Misfits), Cousins, Denise Djokic and Jill Barber are a few of the artists who have graced our stage.

Disordered songs is a concert of quirky, unexpected, eccentric songs by celebrated composers from across Canada. The songs themselves combine theatre, speaking, improvising, and singing and are based on texts by Korean poet Suji Kwock Kim, Canadian Steven Mayoff, Americans Robert Creeley and Walt Whitman, Thomas Muir, and Halifax’s own Sandy Moore.
