Disordered Songs

The Music Room, 6181 Lady Hammond Rd, Halifax

Janice Isabel Jackson, soprano and speaker; Barbara Pritchard, piano

Disordered songs is a concert of quirky, unexpected, eccentric songs by celebrated composers from across Canada. The songs themselves combine theatre, speaking, improvising, and singing and are based on texts by Korean poet Suji Kwock Kim, Canadian Steven Mayoff, Americans Robert Creeley and Walt Whitman, Thomas Muir, and Halifax’s own Sandy Moore.
